Traditional designs lead the range, then transitional and industrial ones. A lantern on each side of the front door and a post light at the end of the path can share a design, and since a lantern looks smaller from the street than up close, it pays to size it generously.

- Lacey: pendants, 12 to 49 inches wide with 4 to 8 lights, mostly traditional, finished mainly in chrome.
- Italian Estate: outdoor wall and post lights, traditional throughout, 8 to 11 inches wide, in bronze or black.
- Onion: outdoor lights led by post lights, transitional throughout and finished mostly in black.
- Boardwalk: mostly outdoor wall lights, traditional, 7 to 11 inches wide, in black or bronze.
- El Capitan: industrial pendants, 14 to 26 inches wide with 4 lights, in brass, nickel or bronze.
Finishes
Bronze and black are dark finishes that sit well against brick, stone or painted siding, while nickel and chrome catch more of the light.
