Golden

Golden Lighting designs pendants, vanity lights and flush mounts with a mainly transitional look. Founded in 1982 in Tallahassee, Florida, Golden Lighting has since moved its focus to residential decorative lighting. Its designs include Duncan, Orwell and Shepard. In Orwell and Duncan, a pendant and a vanity light come in the same design.

Golden Lighting's pendants hang over an island or a dining table, its vanity lights go on the wall above the sink, and its flush mounts light a hall or a bedroom where the ceiling is too low for a pendant. A long vanity light can span both sinks of a wide vanity, and a semi-flush mount fits a hall with a little more height. Modern and farmhouse pieces suit a loft or a country kitchen.

Main series

  • Orwell: mostly pendants, wall sconces and flush mounts, with 1 to 6 lights, in brass, chrome, nickel or black.
  • Duncan: mostly pendants, then vanity lights, in finishes led by bronze.

Finishes

Golden Lighting's finishes are mostly brass, black or nickel, with chrome, bronze, white and wood for the rest. Brass and nickel soften a transitional room and black sharpens it. For a bath, a vanity light in the same finish as the faucet ties the room together.
